For creating quay repositories:

1. Create quay oAuth2 API token using the following instructions: https://docs.quay.io/api/
2. Add it to Konflux secrets
3. modify prepare-repos step as needed to use token secret

For pushing images to quay:

1. Modify publish step as needed to use quay org secret
