To enable this, enhancements and bug fixes were made to improve the authentication and entity ingestion process.

      EPIC Goal

We want to ensure the Microsoft/Azure authentication providers can be recommended for "Enterprise readiness" since many of our customers use Azure/Microsoft for as their identity provider.

      Background/Feature Origin

Currently Microsoft/Azure authentication providers do not strictly enforce the existence of user entity in the catalog to map the signed-in user to. We currently cannot recommend them for "Enterprise readiness" because they break non-repudiation which renders audit logging ineffective.

      Why is this important?

We need to provide an enterprise ready authentication provider for azure/microsoft
