The tech-radar plugin in the overlay repo has a test set up already, and the plugin itself also has support for the new frontend system. Investigate if the existing setup is suitable to also start up an instance of RHDH using app-next instead of app for the frontend, and if there's any substantial difference in configuration required to get it working.
