  • Develop PDU/single-platform (PRO3X) Power Measurement prototype automation
  • Test/debug code for measurement mechanisms
  • Phase 2
    • Develop multi-platform probing command ‘table’
    • Implement auto-detect for measurement mechanism
• Workloads: strive for apples-to-apples, same amount of compute work (x86 v ARM)
  • Identify candidate workloads: idle, appl load and full stress (cpu, memory, storage)
  • Develop syntax and add code for running workloads to the prototype automation
  • Test/debug code

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

• Automation executes a workload against a server in Billerica CoLo and produces power usage measurements for the workload's runtime duration
• Candidate workloads are identified and syntax has been documented and verified
