convert2rhel package version : convert2rhel-1.6.1-1.el7.noarch
convert2rhel --no-rpm-va command fails with critical error not allowing user to skip the rpm -Va command during conversion :
--------------
CRITICAL - We need to run the 'rpm -Va' command to be able to perform a complete rollback of changes done to the system during the pre-conversion analysis. If you accept the risk of an incomplete rollback, set the CONVERT2RHEL_UNSUPPORTED_INCOMPLETE_ROLLBACK=1 environment variable. Otherwise, remove the --no-rpm-va option.
--------------
Whereas rpm -Va command can be skipped during convert2rhel analyze. It just displays the warning :
--------------
WARNING - We will proceed with ignoring the --no-rpm-va option as running rpm -Va in the analysis mode is essential for a complete rollback to the original system state at the end of the analysis.
--------------
rpm -Va command can take long time to finish. While investigating conversion issue it is not feasible to wait long time for the command to finish. Instead rpm -Va command should be mandatory with convert2rhel analyze command instead of convert2rhel.
