Goal
- AIPCC and AAIET have been sharing an AWS account, 713881823639. Since AIPCC wants to create and manage their own AWS account instead of sharing an account with our org (for separation of costs), and since our org is not actively using this shared account, it only makes sense for our org to transition ownership of this account fully to AIPCC.
- Klara, a manager on AIPCC, graciously accepted our offer to transition ownership of this account to her org. She has identified a handful of individuals on her team who might be interested in assuming ownership of this account.
Acceptance Criteria
- Host a brief meeting with Klara and the AIPCC engineers who will assume ownership of this account to:
- Provide them links to our org's existing documentation around AWS administration (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, etc.). We can review them briefly at a high level.
- Review the Cloudability dashboard created by Courtney Pacheco to help them understand how they can manage their team's expenses and monitor their team's usage
- Establish a handover timeline, where our team will support the new AIPCC AWS account admins with any tasks/questions they may have when they assume ownership. This timeline will also give our DevOps team time to migrate resources off of this shared account.
- Schedule a follow-up meeting with Klara and team to connect on the progress of the ownership transition
