Feature Overview (mandatory - Complete while in New status)
Currently ilab supports Python 3.11. We'll need to upgrade instructlab to support Python 3.12. The lack of Python 3.12 blocks the update to RHEL 9.6 and testing with RHEL 10. The Python 3.11 package in RHEL 9 AppStream reaches EOL during the life time of RHEL 9.6. RHEL 10 comes with Python 3.12 and does not have 3.11.

Goals (mandatory - Complete while in New status)

• Update ilab config to support Python 3.12

Requirements (mandatory -_ Complete while in Refinement status):
A list of specific needs, capabilities, or objectives that a Feature must deliver to satisfy the Feature. Some requirements will be flagged as MVP. If an MVP gets shifted, the Feature shifts. If a non MVP requirement slips, it does not shift the feature.

Done - Acceptance Criteria (mandatory - Complete while in Refinement status):

• ilab now supports python 3.12
• CI and testing passes with this version bump
