The current builder repo has gast pinned in testing to 0.5.5.  https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHELAI-2963 changes that requirement to 0.6.0, which is what pythran requires as a minimum.

It seems to me that gast probably shouldn't be explicitly pinned, and perhaps pythran needs to dictate a version.
