What were you trying to do that didn't work?
After using Image Builder and enabling the DISA STIG profile to create an ISO. When I login with the user I added to the ISO, both password and ssh key, when I try to login I get "Your account has expire; please contact your system administrator. Authentication token expired". This does not occur when using the ISO build and the DISA STIG. It asks you to change your password and allows you to.
I have only tested this on the RHEL 9.6 ISO option, no other format.
What is the impact of this issue to you?
Causing undue hardship, especially if the administrator (root) has been disabled. You have to jailbreak the system and force the password change.
How reproducible is this bug?: Every time
Steps to reproduce
- Use Image Builder to build ISO image with both the DISA STIG and user.
- Install image
Expected results
Request user to change password and allow them to do so.
Actual results
Tells the user to contact the administrator
