      The current CentOS Stream 10 ISO for x86_64, timestamped 11th June 2025, does not boot correctly under VMware Workstation 17.6.3.  In particular, whether the firmware type is set to BIOS or UEFI, the ISO starts booting, flashes up some messages, then turns off the virtual machine.  This means CentOS Stream 10 cannot be installed; no such issue is present with the CentOS Stream 9 ISO.

      If at the Grub menu, you edit the first menu entry, changing the line starting linux or linuxefi to add acpi=off at the end, then press F10, you can see that some of the last messages include:

      {{SQUASHFS error: Failed to read block 0x0: -5
      dracut: FATAL: Failed to find a root filesystem in /run/install/repo//images/install.img.
      dracut: Refusing to continue}}

      Please see the attached screenshot:

      I am happy to provide further technical details, or try different options, as required.  Please let me know how I can assist in debugging this issue.

      Booting from the official Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 boot ISO worked correctly.
