What were you trying to do that didn't work?

After unlocking the GUI session from the lockscreen, the workspace indicator/switcher disappears from the interface .

What is the impact of this issue to you?

Workspaces are lost when this behavior occurs.

Please provide the package NVR for which the bug is seen:

      gnome-shell-extension-window-list-40.7-25.el9.noarch

      gnome-shell-40.10-24.el9.x86_64

      How reproducible is this bug?:

      Consistently

      Steps to reproduce

      1.  In GNOME-classic, lock the active GUI session.
      2.  Unlock the lock screen.
      3.  Observe the workspace indicator/switcher has disappeared from the GUI.

Restarting gnome-shell can be used as a workaround for this behavior and the workspaces will be available until the screen is locked again.

      Expected results

Workspace indicator stays on the GUI after unlocking the lock screen.

      Actual results

Workspace indicator disappears after screen is unlocked.
