When inspecting or converting a SUSE Linux guest you will often see lots of snapshots reported as root filesystems, eg:
Dual- or multi-boot operating system detected. Choose the root filesystem that contains the main operating system from the list below: [1] /dev/sda2 (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5) [2] btrfsvol:/dev/sda2/@/.snapshots/2/snapshot (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5) [3] btrfsvol:/dev/sda2/@/.snapshots/3/snapshot (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5) [4] btrfsvol:/dev/sda2/@/.snapshots/4/snapshot (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5) [5] btrfsvol:/dev/sda2/@/.snapshots/5/snapshot (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5) [6] btrfsvol:/dev/sda2/@/.snapshots/6/snapshot (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5) [7] btrfsvol:/dev/sda2/@/.snapshots/7/snapshot (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5) [8] btrfsvol:/dev/sda2/@/.snapshots/8/snapshot (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5) Enter a number between 1 and 8, or ‘exit’: 1
This is technically correct (the best kind of correct), but also not very useful.
To do: investigate what's going on here, and what we should do about it.
