      The acceptance criteria defined below are met.

      Given a first-boot nmstate YAML that supplies DNS information either through explicit ipv4.dns / ipv6.dns entries or via dhcp: true with auto-dns: false,

      When nmstate.service applies the configuration during an Assisted-Installer ISO installation,

      Then Nmstate shall record the same name-server list in both the interface’s NetworkManager connection profile and the global-DNS file.


      ( ) Code changes are included in a downstream build attached to an errata.


      ( ) All required testing (manual and/or automated) passes successfully.


      ( ) All necessary backports to the related RHEL streams (linked as 'relates' in this issue) have been completed and verified.

      What were you trying to do that didn't work?

      When installing OCP 4.18+ node via assisted installer using nmstate YAML method and mini-ISO(PXE) mode, the global DNS will be discarded causing empty /etc/resolv.conf after installation.

      What is the impact of this issue to you?

      Break OCP 4.18 installation on PXE mode with customized network setup

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Please check OCP assisted installation team for reproduce.

      Expected results

      Installation finished without network issue.

      Actual results

      Got empty /etc/resolv.conf after installation.
