What were you trying to do that didn't work?

      send SIGHUP to rsyslog

Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:

      rsyslog-gssapi-8.2102.0-13.el8, possibly even older

      How reproducible:

      100%

      Steps to reproduce

      1.  set a omprog script which sends the SIGHUP to the daemon and then does also something else
      2. trigger the omprog
      3.

      Expected results

the script continues to run ewven after the SIGHUP point

      Actual results

the script appereas to be terminated

      Additional info

normally, when the selinux is in enforcing mode, the scrip most likely will not be able to send the signal using systemctl, selinux persmissive is safe way here
