VLAN filtering for Linux bridge interfaces was recently implemented in libvirt 11.0.0. That version will be available in the upcoming Fedora 42.
I think the commit series is (I may have missed a few):
- d53da4b9 news: note addition of vlan tagging support for Linux host bridges
- 7a903458 qemu: support vlan change for linux host bridge during update-device
- f35bddae docs: standard linux bridges now support vlans
- c1a0d085 Enable vlan support for standard linux bridges
- 582f0966 util: Add vlan support to virNetDevBridgeAddPort
- 2e651ec1 util: add netlink bridge vlan filtering
Do we have any plans to backport this feature to older versions of libvirt, on RHEL 9 or on RHEL 10? Or will RHEL 10 move to libvirt >= 11.0.0?
Thanks!
