While debugging a passt problem (RHEL-82908), it was confusing not to know the exact host kernel being used. I added this trivial patch to libguestfs to print this information in debugging output:
https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/commit/31fa712aa07190f2c5ed789712b92b4be2d51488
This adds a line like this which would appear in virt-v2v logs and other places where libguestfs debugging output appears:
libguestfs: launch: host: Linux cash 6.14.0-0.rc1.15.fc42.x86_64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Mon Feb 3 15:19:42 UTC 2025 x86_64
This patch is trivial and seems very low risk.
