Several kernel tests check if a given kernel configuration is enabled by reading `/boot/config` file, however, on image mode `/boot` directory does not exist. Enabling `CONFIG_IKCONFIG` will make `/proc/config.gz` available which can be used as an alternative source of kconfig status.
