What were you trying to do that didn't work?

• Customer has a system in which a graphical application runs maximized and without borders and title bar, so it is not possible to drag it using the mouse (this is desired).
• When the user clicks and drags on the top panel, however, the maximized window is dragged away and resized down.

What is the impact of this issue to you?

This becomes problematic for a border/frame-less window, as it can no longer be sized back to the original size, and affects the user experience.

Steps to reproduce

1. Maximize any window.
2. Left click on the top panel, hold and drag.

Expected results

The maximized window should not be affected by the click/drag operation on the top panel.

Actual results

The window will snap to the cursor, be resized to its original size and dragged to a new position.

The desired behavior can be obtained by installing and enabling a custom extension (see attachment):
