What were you trying to do that didn't work?
After enabling OSK on RHEL - 10 machine, When trying to switch from English to ja-anthy input method while using gnome-text-editor, the cursor just moves ahead but fails to switch from English to ja-anthy input method.
Please provide the package NVR for which the bug is seen:
redhat-release-10.0-24.el10.x86_64
How reproducible is this bug?
Always
Steps to reproduce
- Install RHEL-10 machine
- Go to settings and enable OSK
- Open gnome-text-editor
- Make sure ja-anthy is added as input sources from settings
- Now try to switch from English to ja-anthy using super+space keys
Expected results
Switch from English to anthy works using super+space while using OSK
Actual results
Switch from English to anthy does not works using super+space while using OSK. The cursor keep moving ahead while to switch between input sources(only when trying to switch from English to anthy)
> Switch from English to anthy does not works using super+space while using OSK.
Do you mean the OSK GUI is not shown after you switch IMEs with Super-space key?
If yes, I think it's neither an ibus-anthy specific issue or RHEL specific issue and please report your issue to Fedora gnome-shell at first.
And this issue will be closed at the moment until the Fedora issue will be resolved.
