Goal

As a user of SDL-based applications on RHEL, I want SDL3 to power all SDL-based applications (regardless of what SDL version it originally used), so that all SDL-based applications are using the latest developed and fully maintained version of SDL.

This is essentially a request to port the Fedora Change implementing this to RHEL 10. This is already implemented in Rawhide, and SDL 3.2.0 is expected to be released later this month.

Acceptance criteria

A list of verification conditions, successful functional tests, or expected outcomes in order to declare this story/task successfully completed.

• Verify SDL2 has been replaced with sdl2-compat
• Verify SDL3 is present
• Verify sdl2-compat and SDL3 devel packages are present in the repositories
