In RHEL9 and RHEL10 we have mysql and mariadb databases and perl-DBD-MySQL and perl-DBD-MariaDB. This task is about investigation if there are risks or issues with real work.

      There are usages like:

      • mysql with perl-DBD-MySQL
      • mysql with perl-DBD-MariaDB
      • mariadb with perl-DBD-MySQL (to some mariadb version)
      • mariadb with perl-DBD-MariaDB

There are some potencial issues on the customer side with upgrade between these use cases.

      Concrete problematic things:

      Expected results:

      • Document which describes the situation in a precise way.
      • Part of the investigation will be some testing.
      • Describe follow-ups like writing KB article to prevent risk situations
