Hello team,
I'm reporting what seems to be a bug on MTV Migration Plan from VMware vSphere 7 to OpenShift Virtualization 4.16.20, MTV 2.7.5.
The vddk pod seems unable to remove the open-vm-tools in case there iare some other packages depending on it.
On the VM I'm trying to migrate there is also the spausedd package that depends on open-vm-tools but the vddk pod is just running rpm -e open-vm-tools without resolving conflicts letting the pod and the whole migration to fail:
commandrvf: rpm -e --allmatches open-vm-tools
error: Failed dependencies:
\tlibguestlib.so.0()(64bit) is needed by (installed) spausedd-3.1.7-1.el8.x86_64
Once I remove this package (that is included in the VM template but not used at all by any VM's service) from the running VM then the Migration Plan moves forward and completes the migration.
Please take a look also to the screenshot I'm attaching that shows how running dnf remove open-vm-tools on the VM solve the dependency problem and ask to remove also the dependent spausedd package.
