What were you trying to do that didn't work?
On a system with a single card and two monitors, at ports eDP-1 and HDMI-A-1, the monitor at port HDMI-A-1 does not come back after going to sleep mode via DPMS.
What is the impact of this issue to you?
Customer is a supermarket chain that uses electronic scales with two touch screens, to be viewed by the operator and customer. When the screens go to sleep by DPMS, touching on one at the operator side does not bring up the one at customer side.
Please provide the package NVR for which the bug is seen:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 9.4 (Plow)
- Intel Corporation Raptor Lake-P Graphics
- WaylandEnable=false in /etc/gdm/custom.conf
How reproducible is this bug?:
Always
Steps to reproduce
- Install RHEL 9.4, Server with GUI
- Log in to GNOME and open a gnome-terminal window
- Force the monitors to go off/on via dpms
$ xset dpms force off; sleep 5; xset dpms force on
Expected results
Both monitors should come back.
Actual results
Only the monitor attached to eDP-1 comes back.
