find-debuginfo calls gdb-add-index and used to ignore the result. debugedit 5.1 added error checking for gdb-add-index. gdb-add-index produces an error on read-only files. This now makes find-debuginfo fail when a package contains such files.
Workaround this by making sure all files are (temporarily) writable (already done by add_minidebug and debugedit) for gdb-add-index and objcopy --merge-notes.
