      Goal

As an administrator, I want to deploy a NetworkManager DNS plugin that integrates with unbound and systemd-resolved with DoT support. This will allow me to secure DNS communications across my RHEL environment efficiently. The plugin should dynamically configure DNS forwarders using unbound-control and should be flexible enough to support other name servers in the future

      Acceptance criteria

A list of verification conditions, successful functional tests, or expected outcomes in order to declare this story/task successfully completed.

      • Verify the NetworkManager DNS plugin integrates unbound and systemd-resolved to enable DoT support.
      • Verify the plugin allows dynamic DNS forwarder configuration using unbound-control forward-add
      • Verify the plugin is compatible with the dnsconfd interface in Fedora, RHEL-10.0, and RHEL-9.6
      • Verify the plugin supports secure DNS communication through DoT
      • Verify the plugin is tested thoroughly for stability, including unit, integration, and system-level tests
      • Verify documentation is created or updated to guide administrators on installing, configuring, and managing the plugin
