Given a system administrator uses Nmstate to configure a VLAN with priority mappings on an OpenShift node,

When they apply a NNCP with the vlan-egress-priority-map configuration,

Then NMState should correctly configure the VLAN, applying the specified egress priority mappings and reflecting them in the configuration status.

      Definition of Done:

      • The implementation meets the acceptance criteria
      • Integration tests are written and pass
      • The code is part of a downstream build attached to an errata
      • The feature is backported to RHEL-9.2 for the OCP customer to consume it.

.Nmstate now supports egress and ingress priority mapping for VLAN interfaces

NetworkManager already supports configuring traffic priority mapping for VLAN interfaces. With this enhancement, the Nmstate library can also handle both egress and ingress priority quality of service (QoS) mapping rules. As a result, you can use Nmstate to create VLANs and define bidirectional priority mapping, helping manage traffic more precisely and efficiently.

This feature request is to enable configuration of the vlan-egress-priority-map setting using Nmstate. This configuration option allows setting QoS parameters for VLAN traffic and is already supported by NetworkManager.

This originates from a customer feedback that requires configuring vlan-egress-priority-map with Nmstate operator, particularly through NNCP. This configuration option is needed for VLANs created to allow the application of specific priority mappings to meet traffic management requirements.
