I'm testing migration from our existing 389 directory server to IPA.
It seems ipa migrate-ds is having problems with entries that have localized attributes.
For instance in my source LDAP server I have a test user with:
cn;lang-el:: zpTOv866zrnOvM6xz4PPhM65zrrPjM+CIM6bzr/Os86xz4HOuc6xz4POvM+Mz4I=
cn;lang-en: Example User
cn: Example User
sn;lang-el:: zpTOv866zrnOvM6xz4PPhM65zrrPjM+C
sn;lang-en: Example
sn: Example
givenName;lang-el:: zpvOv86zzrHPgc65zrHPg868z4zPgg==
givenName;lang-en: User
givenname: User
After migrate-ds in the IPA LDAP I see
cn;lang-el:: zpTOv866zrnOvM6xz4PPhM65zrrPjM+CIM6bzr/Os86xz4HOuc6xz4POvM+Mz4I=
cn;lang-en: Example User
sn;lang-el:: zpTOv866zrnOvM6xz4PPhM65zrrPjM+C
sn;lang-en: Example
givenName;lang-el:: zpvOv86zzrHPgc65zrHPg868z4zPgg==
givenName;lang-en: User
Only localized attributes are transferred (when there is one) and it's missing cn, sn, givenName.
Other non-localized attributes are transferred normally.
In Advance, First, Last, Full name appear empty on GUI.
If I edit there it still appear empty after save but in LDAP I see:
cn;lang-el:: zpTOv866zrnOvM6xz4PPhM65zrrPjM+CIM6bzr/Os86xz4HOuc6xz4POvM+Mz4I=
cn;lang-en: First Last
sn;lang-el:: zpTOv866zrnOvM6xz4PPhM65zrrPjM+C
sn;lang-en: Last
givenName;lang-el:: zpvOv86zzrHPgc65zrHPg868z4zPgg==
givenName;lang-en: First
It updates the lang-en
If I delete the source ;lang- attributes, then I get cn, sn, givenName on the new LDAP on IPA server.
