What were you trying to do that didn't work?

While removing ipa replica, DS started a cleanAllRuv task that consume a lot of CPU for a long time

What is the impact of this issue to you?

The CPU was spiking end sometime may lead to LDAP server becoming unresponsive

Please provide the package NVR for which the bug is seen:

      389-ds-base-2.4.5-9.el9_4.x86_64

How reproducible is this bug?: no clear reproducible testcase. A suggested one

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Create a topology with 10 replica
      2. Disable changelog triming to keep CL growing
      3. remove a replica (that triggers cleanAllRuv)

      Expected results

The server should keep responsive and hopefully CL purging should be faster

      Actual results

It is slow, CPU consuming and sometime the server becomes unresponsive
