What were you trying to do that didn't work?
As per https://access.redhat.com/solutions/2354631, when the device name ends with a letter, the partition ID is immediately appended, without adding a p separator.
Examples:
- no issue with "mpatha"
- issue with wwid ending with a letter, or friendly name "mydisk"
Upstream PR is https://github.com/rear/rear/pull/3329
What is the impact of this issue to you?
Cannot restore multipath devices with WWID or friendly name ending with a letter.
Please provide the package NVR for which the bug is seen:
All ReaR releases
How reproducible is this bug?:
Always with multipath disks, assuming the SCSI disk ID is modified on purpose.
