nbdkit-vddk-plugin crashes in VDDK when snapshot parameter is used

      nbdkit crashes in VDDK when the snapshot parameter is used.

      Not every version of VDDK is affected. marnold@redhat.com tested different versions and found:

      7.0.3: successful transfer
8.0.0: successful transfer
8.0.1: crash
8.0.2: crash
8.0.3: crash

      It doesn't happen always. rhn-support-nashok believes it may be caused when the /sys/class/scsi_disk directory is missing on the host (eg for a host/container that has no SCSI disks).
