Per recommendations of OpenShift Virtualization, cluster admins are directed to create block storage at a minimum, but current vTPM implementation requires a filesystem. This story is a feature request for adding direct block storage as a backing store.
Goal
- As a cluster admin, I want to configure only block storage, and still be able to use VM's with persistent vTPM, so that I can follow best practices outlined by OpenShift Virtualization.
Acceptance Criteria
A list of verification conditions, successful functional tests, or expected outcomes in order to declare this story/task successfully completed.
- libvirt able to use block device directly for vTPM backing store.
- VMs should be able to live migrate using this mode.
