What were you trying to do that didn't work?

Upgrade a KVM guest from RHEL 8 to RHEL 9 with a single connected RoCE adapter.

Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:

      tbd

      How reproducible:

      tbd

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Set up a KVM guest with a single connected RoCE interface
      2. # grubby --update-kernel ALL --args net.naming-scheme=rhel-8.7 --remove-args net.ifnames=0
        # zipl
        # reboot
      3. Solve leapp preupgrade issues and execute the leapp upgrade

      Expected results

The system is upgraded, the target system has network connectivity with the same interface name as in RHEL 8

      Actual results

The system is upgraded, the target system has no network connectivity. Inspecting the guest we see it was booted with kernel parameter 'net.ifnames=0', therefore the RoCE interface name changed and no connectivity was possible.

      Additional notes

We weren't sure if we can reproduce this. Will update this ticket soon, until then, I'd request developers not to look into this issue for now.
