Until now, Go defaulted to ld.gold on ARM64, but now, the binutils package is deprecating gold in favor of ld.bfd. In rawhide and ELN this has been done through binutils no longer pulling in binutils-gold automatically, thereby requiring the latter to be explicitly BR'd. In RHEL 10 that has not occurred, but the Tools team have indicated that using ld.bfd is preferred. Using ld.bfd in RHEL 10 would help the Tools team deprecated gold, and fix ELN (which is currently FTBFS some golang-based packages as a result of the current state) without diverging from c10s.
