This bug was initially created as a copy of Bug #2152847
Observed with anaconda-34.25.2.3-1.el9.
Description of problem:
When Anaconda in text mode detects identical volume groups in the existing partitioning, it prints an error with a hint of what's wrong and suggests switching to shell and fixing the problem manually. However, even after the problem is fixed (wipefs -af /dev/vdb; vgscan), it's not possible to continue with the installation and the system reboots after pressing enter.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
RHEL-8.8.0-20221211.d.0 / anaconda-33.16.8.4-1.el8
How reproducible:
Always.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Prepare a system that uses partitioning with two identical volume groups (you can create one VG and then just clone the disk).
2. Start system installation in text mode
3. Wait until an error message from Anaconda appears, stating that two identical volume groups were found and you have to resolve the problem manually.
4. Remove one of the VGs (wipe one of the disks).
5. Switch back to Anaconda and press enter to continue.
Actual results:
Anaconda exits and system reboots.
Expected results:
Anaconda reevaluates how the existing partitioning looks like and allows to continue with installation if there aren't any problems left.
