      • Validate the metrics exported by the Prometheus exporter for the correctness of the telemetry data.  This can be done using the Grout reference vrouter project, which is instrumented to provide these metrics.  https://github.com/rjarry/grout/

      Description

      The OpenStack NFV Engineering team wrote some improvements for DPDK telemetry to allow for DPDK apps to report their real CPU and memory usage.  We would like this change included on the DPDK roadmap so it can be fully supported, including documentation and testing, so that we can advocate for VNF vendors to adopt this CPU and memory reporting as a standard.
