What were you trying to do that didn't work?
I noticed that during RHEL-10 installation via RDP, drop down menus open and immediately close after clicking on them. The same problem is possible to reproduce on an installed system - in the preference window of gnome terminal. Both anaconda and gnome terminal are GTK3 applications, AFAIK. I wasn't able to reproduce the problem in the other applications I quickly tried.
See the attached screencast, where on the right side is a desktop running in a VM, on the left side is the same desktop accessed via RDP.
The clients I used to access the RDP sessions were:
freerdp-2.11.2-1.el9
remmina-1.4.33-1.fc40
Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:
RHEL-10.0-20240709.23
gnome-remote-desktop-46.2-2.el10
gnome-shell-46.3.1-3.el10
gnome-kiosk-46.0-3.el10
gnome-terminal-3.50.1-6.el10
How reproducible:
Always
Steps to reproduce
- Run RHEL-10.0-20240709.23 installation in RDP mode (with inst.rdp on the kernel command line)
- Connect to the installer, try to use drop down menus in the installer - for example on the installation source spoke.
- Or, on the installed system, enable desktop sharing, connect to the desktop via RDP and use drop down menus on the General tab of the gnome-terminal's preference screen.
Expected results
Drop down menu stays open after clicking on it.
Actual results
Drop down menu closes immediately.
