What were you trying to do that didn't work?

Boot a QEMU/KVM VM to a graphical greeter (gdm) after mesa updated to version 24.

Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:

      Packages are  (neither work):

      mesa-*-24.1.0-2.el9.x86_64.rpm

      mesa-*-24.1.2-1.el9.x86_64.rpm

      How reproducible:

      Always.

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Update to mesa version 24
      2. Boot QEMU/KVM from virt-manager.
      3.

      Expected results:

      Should boot to GNOME greeter.

      Actual results:

Hangs during boot, although it is possible to get a virtual console, gdm doesn't start.

      Additional Info:

Last working version was mesa-*-23.3.3-1.  Downgrading to this version fixes things.  I have this same problem on multiple instances of CS9 in a KVM VM.
