Description of problem:
Filling the bug here to keep track of the issue.

Found failing test in our mutter upstream test suite run. Only a single test fails now while it passed all in the past.

The issue is actually with the new version of mesa and downgrade fixed the issue but I filed it under mutter since mutter test failed. The fails occurs on all architectures we support.

100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build the mutter from source.
2. Run the test case for cogl-conform-framebuffer-get-bits
3.

Actual results:
Test fails as is shown in logs.

Expected results:
The test passes with no issue.

Additional info:
Mutter version does not seem to matter, I downgraded good 5 versions and the error was in the same place.

The new mesa is on 9.3. On 9.2 where the testing and gating for the new mutter version was running had no issue.
