      Creating the shutdown test under RHEL-32680 revealed that the current documentation of shutdown is quite misleading.

      • The SHUT_* constants are not mentioned.
      • SHUT_RD does not have any effect on TCP sockets on Linux.
      • The effect of shutdown is protocol-specific.
