control-center is not updated when modem connected via gnome-shell

      Description of problem:
      with the new modem UI, when the control center is opened and a modem is connected via the GS menu, the state is not changed in c-c, you need to switch tabs. The disconnect has the same symptoms.

      gnome-shell-40.4-2.el9.x86_64
      gnome-control-center-40.0-14.el9.x86_64

      How reproducible:
      always

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. open gcc
      2. open GS menu and connect a modem

      Actual results:
      state is still disconnected in gcc
