What were you trying to do that didn't work?

During installation in the timezone spoke if we disable the 24 hrs clock and set the time to 12 hours clock by disabling Network time and selecting "AM/PM" option, post installation we see that the system still has time set to 24 hours clock in the Gnome.

One other thing I observed is no matter what we select the "date" command on the command line in RHEL 8.10 always displays 24 hrs clock. While the "date" command on the command line in RHEL 9.4 always displays 12 hrs clock despite of what we select in anaconda.

I have tagged both products RHEL 8.10 and RHEL 9.4 but I understand that RHEL 8.10 is the last release for RHEL 8 so its might not be possible to change this in RHEL 8.10

Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:

      Anaconda RHEL 8.10 DVD

      Anaconda RHEL 9.4 DVD

      How reproducible:

      Everytime

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Browse inside the Date and time spoke and disable network time so it allows you to change the toggle for 24 hrs and 12 hrs clock
      2. Select AM/PM at to disable 24 hrs clock.
      3. Observe time post installation is still showing as 24 hours clock

      Expected results

Show time in 12 hrs format when AM/PM is selected during Anaconda OS installation in GUI and in date command.

      Actual results

GUI show 24 hrs format despite if we select AM/PM during installation. The data command is also unaffected and always show 12 hrs clock for RHEL 9.4 and 24 hrs clock for RHEL 8.
