      What were you trying to do that didn't work?

      Installing an update to software installed on RHEL 8.6.  Part of the update process is running the dnf update -y command.

      Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:

      DNF/YUM: dnf-4.2.17-7.el8_2.noarch

      How reproducible:

      20% | 1/5 attempts

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Register the RHEL instance
      2. From RHEL 8.6 attempt to install a dnf update using the command dnf update -y

      Expected results

      Update completes successfully

      Actual results

      Update fails due to a segmentation fault

      line 1577: 539355 Segmentation fault      (core dumped) dnf update -y

      While tracing this, the first segfault appears to occur when interacting with librpm
