What were you trying to do that didn't work?

[Machines] Cannot connect to the vm by SSH key if creating with "Direct attachment"

Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:

cockpit-machines-313-1.el9.noarch

cockpit-316-1.el9.x86_64

libvirt-dbus-1.4.1-5.el9.x86_64

Steps to reproduce

1. Prepare a rhel-guest-images file

2. Create a VM(Cloud based image) with a SSH key and "Create and edit", then change the NIC to "Direct attachment" , then click "Install"

3. Wait until the vm boot successful, enter the vm with the user and user password first, check  authorized_keys

1. cat ~/.ssh/authorized_keys

The SSH key was not added.

4. Try to connect to the VM with SSH key, can not connect.

Expected results

There should be SSH key in the authorized_keys and can connect the vm with the SSH key
