What were you trying to do that didn't work?

Starting from RHEL 9.4, we cannot use Houdini from SideFX anymore. It crashes when performing random operations.

On RHEL 9.3 and below, ALL versions of Houdini are working just fine (17.5, 18.0, 18.5, 19.0, 19.5, 20.0)

This means RHEL 9.4 is breaking for the VFX Industry, and we are locking ourselves to 9.3

Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:

I can't disclose which package is causing this issue, but I raised the issue to SideFX and told me they would check with you guys what is causing these crashes.

      How reproducible:

It's 100% reproducible to crash Houdini on RHEL 9.4

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Install RHEL 9.4 Workstation
      2. Install any Production Build from Houdini (18.0, 18.5, 19.0, 19.5, 20.0)
      3. Launch Houdini <- It may crash
      4. Open the "About Houdini" from Help menu <- Will probably Crash
      5. Open Solaris <- Will probably Crash
      6. Launch a render through Solaris (Karma) <- Will Crash

      Expected results

Just like on RHEL 9.3 and below, Houdini should not have any instabilities on random operations

      Actual results

All versions of Houdini can't be use on RHEL 9.4 at this very moment.
Even though SideFX may release a fix for their latest version of Houdini, any previous build are simply not usable. So upgrading to 9.4 is a no go
