What were you trying to do that didn't work?

The plan for EPEL 10 is to include minor versions in package disttags via an extra macro definition in koji. Fedora and ELN have an elegant solution for this with the distcore macro, which allows externally setting the main part of a disttag without masking the distprefix, distsuffix, or with_bootstrap macros. This macro is not currently implemented in CentOS Stream 10. I have filed RHEL-38900 to get this implemented there, but was asked to also create this issue to make sure it also gets implemented in redhat-release.
