What were you trying to do that didn't work?

A customer boots into Rescue on the network through using a kickstart containing rescue keyword and kernel command line containing inst.notmux:

      url --url=http://path/to/rhelX
      rescue

This leads to not getting the prompt, he needs to manually switch to VT2, for example using a %pre script.

Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:

      RHEL8 and RHEL9 anaconda

      How reproducible:

      Always

      Steps to reproduce

      1.  Create a minimal kickstart to enter rescue (rescue.ks)
        url --url=http://192.168.122.1
        rescue
      2.  Boot the DVD with this kickstart and inst.notmux

      Expected results

      Getting the prompt

      Actual results

Not getting the prompt but boot messages
