      Description

RHEL-12109 ticket relates to a performance issue in libldb, it was introduced on RHEL 8 and customers are facing huge performance issues. While this is not fixed, we from SSSD can do a few enhancements to proactively remove some indexes which might not cause harm.

      Goal

      • As an admin, I want to have non-strict required attributes (such as sudo rules) not being indexed by SSSD cache

      Acceptance Criteria

      • Create a spike to identify all the potential candidates to be excluded from the indexes
      • Add those attributes in the acceptance criteria list
      • Make sure those attributes are not indexed by default, but they can later on be indexed by manual changes on customer side
