Apps menu in GNOME Classic cannot be closed with Escape key

      What were you trying to do that didn't work?

      • GNOME Classic Apps menu cannot be closed with Escape key when cursor is over left menu items (Favorites, Accessories, Programming, etc.)

      Please provide the package NVR for which bug is seen:

      • gnome-classic-session-46.1-1.el10.noarch
      • gnome-shell-46.1-8.el10.x86_64

      How reproducible:

      • 100%

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Have session with GNOME Classic
      2. Click open Apps menu in top left corner.
      3. Mouse over any menu, e.g Programming.
      4. Press Escape Key.
      5. Repeat step 4.

      Expected results

      • Apps menu closes.

      Actual results

      • Menu cannot be closed after many Escape key attempts.

      Additional information

      • Having cursor over any other part of the menu works well and Escape key will close it.
      • Found out by an automated test
