In previous RHEL versions, the extension was included as downstream patch in the gnome-shell-extension package.

This requires integrating a complex extension with another build system, adjust gettext domains and schema names, and merge translations.

The extension is already packaged in Fedora, and pulling it into RHEL would avoid that downstream work.
