User has code that changes the application icon based on application state.
XSetWMHints to change the icon is not functional.
This did work with the gnome desktop in RHEL6, but is causing problems in the update to RHEL 8.
Can you describe a proper approach to do it in modern gnome environments?
We do not see a clear/easy mapping to XSetWMHints for this purpose, for Motif based applications at either:
